Nicola Hay, curator of the Illustrated Menagerie, is working with Revolution Plastics to explore a multi-disciplinary and multimedia approach to raising awareness of the effects of plastic pollution upon our environment and specifically its effect upon the animal kingdom.
1. Microplastic in the air; an immersive XR experience designed to involve the viewer in the phenomenon of air borne plastics made visible.
2. Plastics in the Ocean - an augmented experience demonstrating how we might see our oceans in the future without intervention against planet-wide plastic pollution
3. A virtual gallery demonstrating the issue and the work of Revolution Plastics
4. A 'scavenger hunt' highlighting the effects plastic pollution is having upon specific animals
5. Applications of XR technology to issues preventing industry-wide action upon the production of single use plastic. Re-Use
